BONNIE CUSTEN, RN HAS JOINED AN ELITE NATIONAL
GROUP BY SUCCESSFULLY EARNING THE DESIGNATION OF CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL
IN HEALTHCARE RISK MANAGEMENT (CPHRM), ACCORDING TO THE AMERICAN
HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION (AHA) CERTIFICATION CENTER.

Raton, Florida — (December 21, 2004) — Bonnie
V. Custen, RN, MLC, CPHRM, LHRM, CLC, CPHA, is currently the
Director of Risk Management & Workers' Compensation for Cross
Country Healthcare, Inc. She is a Dean’s List graduate
of the University of Vermont, School of Nursing. Bonnie is a
Florida Licensed Health Care Risk Manager and in addition has
earned the designations of a Nationally Certified Medical Legal
Consultant and Certified Professional in Health Care Administration.
Bonnie also proudly serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of “Advance
for Nurses Magazine”. As a strong advocate for nursing,
Bonnie is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives
and is an affiliate member of The Florida Bar Association, Health
Law Section. In addition, Bonnie is a member of the American
Society of Healthcare Risk Management and the American Association
of Legal Nurse Consultants.
The CPHRM is a national credential only held by a select number
of risk managers in the country that distinguishes an individual
as being among the best in a critical field of healthcare management.
To earn the CPHRM, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements
that incorporate a blend of work experience and education, agree
to adhere to Professional Standards of Conduct, and pass the CPHRM
Examination.
The CPHRM Examination tests knowledge required of a competent
healthcare risk manager in the areas of Loss Prevention/Reduction,
Claims Management, Risk Financing, Regulatory/Accreditation Compliance,
Operations and Bioethics.
The CPHRM Program supports the community of healthcare risk managers,
and is designed to provide an objective and rigorous assessment
of professional knowledge.
The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization
that represents and serves all types of hospitals, healthcare networks,
and their patients and communities.
