Compassion and caring are at the heart of the healthcare profession, and Cross Country Staffing's healthcare professionals deliver plenty of both to their patients every day. Their passion and professionalism directly affect patient outcomes - and the overall success of your healthcare facility. There's another service every healthcare professional strives to provide - giving hope to patients and their families. Through our on-going partnership with the non-profit Project Perfect World, Cross Country Staffing professionals help bring hope and healing to people in need around the world.
Founded in 1995, the Project Perfect World Foundation brings together healthcare professionals who travel to places around the world where children live in poverty, without access to sought-after medical care. The doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who volunteer with the organization have performed maxillofacial, dental, orthopedic and ophthalmic surgery on children around the world. For many of these children, the surgeries are a second chance at living a full life, free of disability.
In 2013, two Cross Country Staffing nurses, Kelly Hogan and Carol Reese, traveled with a Project Perfect World team to Guayaquil, Ecuador. There, they worked with other medical professionals to provide life-changing care for children who had suffered serious injury or illness. They share their inspirational experience in a moving video.
Giving back to the global community is the right thing to do, and can create deeply enriching experiences for healthcare professionals. Their satisfaction and positive experiences will inspire them and their peers to continue serving your patients with compassion and care every day.
